How I use italics or bold items in my story?

The following codes can be used in your fanfic. Just remember to remove the spaces within the <> marks:

< b > < i > < u > < center > < hr > < p > < br > < blockquote > < ol > < ul > < li > < img > < strong> < em >

For Italics use < i > text here < /i >. Remember to remove the spaces in the <>. To bold, use < b > text here < /b> or < strong > text here < /strong >.

How do I contact the site administrators?

You can e-mail us via our contact form. The admin can also be emailed, admin@lady-otaku.net.

How do I submit stories?

If you have not already done so, please register for an account. Once you've logged in, click on Account Information and choose Add Story.  The form presented there will allow you to submit your story.

What are the ratings used on the site?

We use the ratings system from www.fictionratings.com.

What are the story classifications?

Stories are classified by categories, genres, and warnings.

What is yuri and yaoi?

Yuri is sometimes called femslash. In fanfiction, the term refers to lesbian relationships. According to Friedman, Erica, "What is Yuri?" in What are Yuri and Shoujoai, anyway?:"Yuri can focus either on the sexual or the emotional aspects of the relationship, the latter sometimes being called shōjo-ai by western fans."

Yaoi is sometimes called maleslash. These fanfics contain homosexual male relationships. They are often written by women, for women. To learn more, check out Wikipedia.

I can't get my submission to go through. What do I do?

If you can't get the submission form to work, you can email your fanfic with all the information listed on the submission form to admin@lady-otaku.net with "BSSM: Submission" as the subject. Occasionally, a few people have trouble with efiction for various reasons.

I submitted my fanfic, but I don't see it yet. What happened?

Only top level authors have their fanfics published immediately. These authors have proven that they can follow the rules and use correct grammar/spelling. Fanfics by all other authors go to a submission que where a site moderator has to okay it before it's published. This way we can make sure it follows the rules.

What is a drabble?

A drabble is traditionally a completed fanfic of exactly 100 words. However, we will accept completed one part stories of under 1000 words into this category.

What is a crossover?

A crossover is a fanfic that involves Sailor Moon and another fandom. Examples: Sailor Moon & Harry Potter. Sailor Moon & Dragon Ball Z. Sailor Moon & Fruits Baskets. Sailor Moon & Twilight.

What is a series?

A series is a collection of more then one complete fanfic stories that go together. Like a story and it's sequel. For example, all the books in Harry Potter make up a series.

What is a round robin?

A round robin is a fanfic that anybody can add a chapter to. It's sharing your sandbox with other writers. Do NOT check the round robin box unless you want anybody to be able to add a chapter to that fanfic.
